Creating a Culture of Accountability & a Shared Commitment to Safeguarding

At SEED, we are committed to conducting our work ethically and safely, ensuring the respect and dignity of everyone we serve.
We recognize the trust placed in us by our clients, donors, and partners, which is why transparency, ethical conduct, and protection are at the core of everything we do. We are dedicated to fostering a safe environment where staff are accountable for their actions, respond to concerns promptly, and where clients feel empowered to provide feedback and raise complaints.

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)
SEED’s MEAL framework promotes transparency, accountability, and continuous learning by ensuring that beneficiaries, communities, partners, and stakeholders have meaningful opportunities to provide feedback and shape our programs. Through surveys, consultations, program monitoring, evaluations, and accessible complaints mechanisms, we continuously assess the quality of our services, strengthen our programs, and improve outcomes for the communities we serve.
How SEED Puts This Into Practice
SEED is committed to embedding accountability, safeguarding, and ethical conduct throughout all areas of our work. We do this by equipping our staff and partners with the knowledge, skills, and systems needed to uphold our policies in practice.
Staff Training and Capacity Building
All SEED staff receive orientation on SEED's accountability framework and key organizational policies as part of their onboarding. Staff complete mandatory safeguarding and ethics training, including refresher sessions, to ensure they understand their responsibilities and are equipped to implement SEED's policies in their daily work.
Partner Capacity and Compliance
SEED works with partners to promote the same standards of accountability, safeguarding, and ethical conduct. Partners are expected to comply with SEED's relevant policies and standards, and receive guidance and support, as appropriate, to strengthen their capacity and ensure compliance.
Accountability in Practice
SEED integrates accountability into programme design and implementation through staff training, transparent and participatory approaches, accessible feedback and complaints mechanisms, and clear procedures for reporting and responding to concerns. This helps ensure our commitments are consistently applied across all programmes and operations.
Our Commitment
SEED is committed to fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous learning. We regularly review and strengthen our policies, procedures, and practices to safeguard the people and communities we serve and to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards.
